As a Physician Assistant at Mithra Kidney Care, your primary responsibilities will include assessing patient health through interviews, physical examinations, and vital sign recordings. You will be responsible for obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories, as well as reviewing old patient records and sending relevant investigations as per consultant instructions. Patient counseling, education on procedures, and rescheduling appointments will also be part of your duties. Your role will involve assisting the consultant in detailed physical examinations, checking consent forms before procedures, and ensuring all necessary conditions are met for a procedure. You will need to be familiar with checklist protocols and contribute to departmental quality initiatives. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection-control policies, and performing any assigned tasks by the consultant are essential aspects of this position. In the inpatient setting, you will be responsible for educating patients before admissions and discharges, assisting in ward procedures, making initial corrections on discharge summaries, monitoring drug administration, and counseling sick patients. In the operating theatre, you will work as a first and second assistant to the consultant, assist in patient positioning, conduct post-surgery checks, and prepare for upcoming surgeries. This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant. Proficiency in Tamil and English is necessary, and a Physician Assistant License/Certification is required. The work schedule may include day shifts and rotational shifts, with benefits such as health insurance, performance bonuses, and yearly bonuses offered.
