Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform blood sample collection both in-clinic and at patient homes, and actively participate in community blood test camps organized in residential societies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform safe and hygienic collection of blood samples from patients in the clinic, at home, and during community health camps.
- Label, document, and transport specimens accurately following established protocols.
- Manage and organize necessary equipment and supplies for home collections and camps.
- Maintain high standards of patient care and ensure patient comfort during sample collection.
- Coordinate with the Lab team to ensure timely sample processing and reporting.
- Maintain proper records of sample collections and patient information.
- Follow infection control and biomedical waste disposal procedures diligently.
- Actively participate in the setup, execution, and coordination of blood test camps in housing societies and corporate offices.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients and team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification or Diploma in Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in blood collection preferred (home visit experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques.
- Excellent patient-handling and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of labelling, sample storage, and transportation procedures.
- Ability to travel locally for home visits and community camps.
- Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with safety and hygiene standards in healthcare.
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid two-wheeler driving license (preferred).
- Mobile phone with GPS (for route navigation).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends when necessary for camps.
