Job Description
The role of Peptide Synthesis in API Downstream R&D offers an opportunity at Scientist / Senior Scientist / Principal Scientist level. Your responsibilities will include peptide synthesis using solid and solution phase strategies, both manually and with automated synthesizers. You will be involved in cleavage isolation, C- and N-terminal modifications, peptide conjugations, impurity profiling, synthesis, isolation, as well as purification of peptides and impurities. Additionally, you will be expected to write lab journals, prepare technical documents, and conduct analytical and spectroscopic characterization of peptides. To excel in this role, you should possess good experience in solid-phase and solution phase peptide synthesis, with a preference for hybrid technologies. Previous exposure to small molecule peptides/oligonucleotides would be advantageous. Experience in process development of peptide pharmaceuticals and scale-up processes will be beneficial. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 9 years of relevant experience and hold a PhD./ M.Tech./ B.Tech./ MSc. degree in Organic Chemistry or Chemistry.
