Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) Plant team. The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing industrial components such as heat exchangers, cooling towers, pressure vessels, heavy load frames, and piping systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, welding standards, and material selection, along with hands-on proficiency in CAD and simulation software. Key Responsibilities Design and develop industrial equipment including heat exchangers, cooling towers, pressure vessels, heavy load frames, and piping systems. Create detailed technical drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and design calculations. Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and pressure testing simulations. Work with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and compatibility. Select appropriate materials based on pressure, temperature, and operational conditions. Collaborate with the Operations Head for design approvals and modifications. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Optimize design to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. Maintain accurate design documentation and reports. Key Requirements Proven experience in designing industrial equipment such as heat exchangers, cooling towers, pressure vessels, and piping systems. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and simulation software like Ansys. Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics. Experience with welding standards, material selection, and high-pressure/temperature conditions. Minimum 3-5 years of industrial design experience. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or Power Plant Engineering. Ability to perform stress analysis, load calculations, and design optimization. Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
