o Assist the Business Head/CPO in their operations
o Support the Project Control team
o Make sure Contractor, Subcontractor, and Consultant are coordinated
enough to avoid any ambiguity to achieve the target

? Technical Edge

o Study, analyze and advise suitably on technology-related decision-
making in construction technology

o Should have a detailed understanding of the entire life cycle of a
construction project from realization to handing over
o Must be aware of various construction engineering technologies
o Scrutinize cost-benefit analysis of different technology
o Conversant with a technological breakthrough in this area
o Assist the CPO to enable him takes vital decisions on technical matters
o Endeavor to avoid claims by Contractors, if not then minimize it by
suggesting value engineering where possible
o Open to learning and passionate about the technical decision

o Programme Preparation
? Prepare a Baseline Schedule, Master Programme (Level 01/02)
in line with the company’s Target, Deliverables, Milestones, and
Market commitments and get it approved by the higher
management
? Schedule other related deliverables including liaison, design,
procurement etc., in line with the baseline schedule
? Prepare Micro schedules as and when required for an internal
purpose
o Programme Review
? Review/facilitate analysis of the detailed work schedules
produced by others including contractors, consultants and ensure
that they comply with the Master Programme and its work
breakdown structure
? Make sure that the Contractors programme has sufficient duration
estimation for the Client’s activities and responsibilities
? Advise the Contractor to improve his programme if possible
? Make sure that the Contractor’s programme is based on the
Critical Path Method
? Review Micro schedules, Target plans, and Recovery plans
submitted by the Contractor

o Monitoring
? Establish a project tracking mechanism through the effective
progress reporting system
? Periodical analysis of schedule and identify slippages if any and
escalating well in time
? If observed any delay, prepare a Recovery programme
? Total float management
? Earned value management
? Identify the bottlenecks and highlight them to the management

o Reports/Forecast/Record Keeping
? Ensure issuance of daily, Weekly, and Fortnightly reports to the
Management (internal purpose) upon Project Directors approval
? Review and comment on contractor’s Monthly Report
? Identify any Delay drivers and highlight them to address them
accordingly
? Prepare ad-hoc reports as and when required by Project Director
? Communicate planned v/s Actual, look heads and forecasts to all
concerned parties (internal purposes like Sales, Costing
Budgeting, and HO etc.)
? Ensure that the actual data and record keeping is done properly
and periodically
? Analyze delay claims submitted by the Contractor and
substantiate the same
