Job Description
Job Title: Operations Manager - Jewellery Division Location: Surat (with frequent travel to Mumbai) About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end manufacturing operations, including contract manufacturing, for our new Jewellery Division based in Surat and Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing colour stones and diamonds while managing jewellery production through job work vendors. This role demands a strong background in jewellery operations, sourcing, and production management to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and timely output. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing & Procurement: Oversee the procurement of diamonds and colour stones, ensuring quality, consistency, and cost efficiency. Manufacturing Oversight: Manage jewellery production operations through job work vendors, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery. Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to maintain product standards. Vendor & Supplier Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams. Inventory & Production Management: Optimize inventory levels, production schedules, and cost control measures to maximize efficiency. Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategic improvements to enhance operational effectiveness. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in jewellery manufacturing and sourcing. Strong knowledge of supply chain management, vendor negotiations, and production processes. Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel frequently between Surat and Mumbai.
