Major roles and responsibilities
Prepare OT before surgery
Sterilize instruments & equipment
Assist in patient positioning
Support surgeon & anesthetist
Monitor patient vitals (during surgery)
Handle surgical tools during procedures
Maintain aseptic conditions
Manage OT equipment (e.g., suction, cautery, anesthesia machine)
Ensure instrument count before/after surgery
Dispose biomedical waste safely
Clean & restock OT post-surgery
Document procedures & checklists
Handle emergencies in OT
Transport patients to/from OT
Maintain inventory of OT supplies
