Job Description
A Rig Medic, also known as an Offshore Medic or Offshore Paramedic, provides medical care and support to personnel working on offshore oil rigs, drilling platforms, or other remote facilities. They are responsible for responding to medical emergencies, maintaining medical supplies, and ensuring the safety of personnel.
Responsibilities
Provide first aid and emergency medical care to injured or ill personnel.
Conduct routine medical examinations and health assessments.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and administration of medications.
Coordinate medical evacuation (medevac) procedures when necessary.
Conduct health and safety training for rig personnel.
Monitor and manage health and hygiene standards on the rig.
Collaborate with health and safety officers to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
