About Octavia Hospital

Job Description

As a Nurse, your primary responsibility will be to provide direct care to patients in a compassionate and professional manner. This includes tasks such as admitting and discharging patients, maintaining personal hygiene, assisting with elimination needs, feeding debilitated patients, and administering medications and injections as prescribed. You will also be involved in monitoring vital signs, carrying out technical procedures, and providing patient education and counseling when necessary. In addition to direct patient care, you will be responsible for managing the ward environment. This includes maintaining cleanliness and tidiness, caring for linen, disinfecting equipment and surfaces, and preparing rooms and supplies for procedures. You will also be expected to oversee inventory, interact with patients and their families, and provide guidance to other staff members and students. Collaboration and communication are key aspects of this role, as you will need to work closely with the health team, participate in staff education and meetings, and report any medico-legal cases or incidents to senior nursing officials. Flexibility is important, as you may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Superintendent. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Nursing, along with at least 6 years of nursing experience and a total of 10 years of work experience. A Nursing License and relevant certifications are preferred. The work location is in person, and the ability to work effectively in a team and handle various responsibilities with care and attention to detail is essential for success in this role.,
