Job Description
The Network Technician Specialist will be responsible for configuring, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network systems specially firewall. This is a field-intensive, hands-on role, ideal for professionals with in-depth experience in network equipment and firewall configuration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and support network infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Lead the firewall setup, configuration, and troubleshooting (mandatory requirement).
- Perform LAN/WAN fault investigations, system upgrades, and firmware updates.
- Monitor network performance and provide L2/L3 technical support.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, including VPNs and access control.
- Collaborate with project teams, service desk engineers, and 3rd-line support to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Conduct remote and onsite support for installation and troubleshooting.
- Handle capacity planning, IP audits, and manage hosted services within data centers.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and customer communication.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Graduate in any discipline
- Experience: Minimum 6 years in enterprise networking and security support
- Certifications (mandatory/preferred):
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
- CCNSP / NSE4 / NSE5 (Fortinet or equivalent)
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Cisco Routing & Switching
- Hands-on with firewalls Fortinet, SonicWall, Juniper
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI Model, BGP, OSPF, NAT, IPSec, VRRP, HSRP, HA architecture
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Familiar with remote support tools, VOIP setups, and wireless networking
