About Tekgence Inc

Job Description

As a Network Service Engineer located in India, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing underlay network topologies for WAN, LAN, and VXLAN environments. Your primary focus will be on creating robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant networks to ensure optimal performance, security, and operational efficiency. Your key responsibilities will include configuring and managing core network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls. You will also be involved in implementing Software-Defined Networking (SDN) solutions to automate and adapt the network to evolving needs. Developing automation scripts and tools for network provisioning, configuration, and management tasks will be essential to streamline processes. Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues across multiple layers, and ensuring low-latency, high-availability, and optimal traffic routing are critical aspects of the role. You will also be responsible for maintaining network security by adhering to best practices, configuring firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), and other protective measures. Collaboration with other infrastructure teams like Cloud, DevOps, Systems, and Security is essential to ensure seamless network integration and support for cross-functional projects. Additionally, you will participate in incident resolution, providing root cause analysis and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence. To be successful in this role, you must have extensive experience in designing and managing underlay network infrastructure, SDN technologies, and network hardware. Hands-on experience with network automation tools and a deep understanding of IP networking concepts, routing protocols, and network security best practices are required. Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, as well as cloud networking concepts, is also necessary. Preferred skills include certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent, experience with large-scale enterprise or data center networks, and familiarity with network performance and monitoring tools. Experience with DevOps and CI/CD methodologies in a network automation context, as well as knowledge of network telemetry and monitoring solutions, will be beneficial. In summary, as a Network Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and managing network infrastructure, implementing SDN solutions, automating network processes, ensuring network security, and collaborating across teams to support network integration and incident resolution. Your expertise in network technologies, automation tools, and security protocols will be essential to the success of the network operations.,
