Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Act as the final escalation point for complex network-related incidents and problems. Design, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers. Troubleshoot and resolve Layer 13 network issues including WAN/LAN, VLANs, and routing problems. Monitor network performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure. Perform regular network assessments, capacity planning, and suggest improvements. Manage and configure firewall policies (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco ASA, SonicWall). Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, and internal teams for connectivity and issue resolution. Document network architecture, configuration changes, and standard operating procedures. Ensure security compliance and assist in internal/external network audits. Lead network-related projects, including migrations, upgrades, and rollouts. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 23 years of hands-on experience in L3 network support or engineering. Strong command over routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, NAT, ACLs, and subnetting. Experience with enterprise-grade switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco, HP, Fortinet, etc.). Proficiency in troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, traceroute, and ping utilities. Familiarity with monitoring systems like PRTG, SolarWinds, or Nagios. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Preferred Certifications: CCNP / CCNA (Routing & Switching or Security) Fortinet NSE Certification (preferred) Juniper, Palo Alto, or other vendor certifications are a plus.
