Job Description
Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Network Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team at Trivandrum. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining networking systems to ensure seamless connectivity and secure data communication across internal and client environments. Duties & Responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other networking systems. Install, support, and manage network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Implement and maintain network security protocols, VPNs, and firewall rules. Assist with the setup and management of internet and intranet connections. Perform regular network backups, firmware upgrades, and system updates. Maintain network documentation and ensure accurate records of network devices and configurations. Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients when necessary. Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers for procurement and service support. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure roles. Experience in installation of LAN, Switch, firewall configuration. Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Experience with configuring routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco/Mikrotik/Fortinet preferred). Familiarity with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
