Job Title: Network Cabling Technician Location: New Delhi Department: Operations / Maintenance / Technical Support Reports To: Technical Supervisor / Service Manager Job Summary: The Network Cabling Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network cabling infrastructure including copper cables, fiber optics, and related hardware. This role ensures that network wiring meets company standards and supports reliable connectivity for data communication systems. Key Responsibilities: Install and terminate network cables (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic cables) according to industry standards and company guidelines. Test and certify network cabling using specialized tools like cable testers, OTDRs (for fiber optics), and continuity testers. Identify and troubleshoot cabling faults or network connectivity issues. Follow structured cabling standards such as TIA/EIA-568 and maintain proper documentation of cable runs and terminations. Collaborate with network engineers and IT teams to ensure proper integration of cabling infrastructure with networking equipment. Perform regular maintenance and upgrades of existing cabling systems. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Provide technical support during network installations, moves, adds, and changes. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience with network cable installation and termination (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic). Ability to use cable testing equipment and troubleshoot cabling issues. Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, switches, routers) is a plus.
