Job Title: Network Engineer Experience: 4 to 8 Years Location: Chennai Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience in managing secure and scalable network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in firewall configuration, cloud network management, and Linux system administration. You will be responsible for maintaining robust network operations across both on-premise and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi). Configure, monitor, and manage firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA). Administer and troubleshoot cloud network environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Manage Linux-based servers, including updates, security patches, and performance tuning. Monitor network performance and perform regular audits to ensure high availability. Respond to and resolve network incidents, outages, and security alerts promptly. Document network topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures. Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure best practices in data security and compliance. Required Skills: Strong experience with firewall installation and rule management. Hands-on knowledge of cloud networking (VPC, subnets, routing, VPN, security groups). Proficiency in Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL). Familiarity with routing protocols, switches, and load balancers. Experience in network monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, or similar). Understanding of security best practices, VLANs, and access control. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Certifications such as CCNA, AWS Certified Networking Specialty, RHCE are a plus. 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in network administration and support.
