Major roles and responsibilities
Operate MRI Equipment
Perform MRI scans using advanced imaging technology.
Prepare & Position Patients
Ensure correct patient positioning for accurate imaging.
Patient Interaction & Education
Explain procedures, address concerns, and screen for MRI safety (e.g., metal implants).
Maintain Patient Safety
Follow all safety protocols, especially related to magnetic field exposure.
Review and Evaluate Images
Check images for clarity and completeness before sending to radiologists.
Maintain Records
Document procedures, patient info, and scan results accurately.
Equipment Maintenance
Monitor, calibrate, and troubleshoot MRI machines regularly.
Collaborate with Medical Team
Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and nurses.
Follow HIPAA & Ethical Standards
Maintain confidentiality and ethical handling of patient data.
Assist with Contrast Administration
Help administer contrast agents if required (under supervision or certification).
