Job Description
As a Method Engineer at HENG-Heavy Engineering, Hazira Mfg Complex, you will be expected to have a deep understanding of forging processes, tooling, and metallurgy across various aspects. Your responsibilities will include developing forging profiles, conducting feasibility studies on open die forgings, calculating Ingot weight, creating heat treatment profiles, and establishing sampling plans for mechanical testing. You should possess hands-on experience in the design and analysis of new tools and dies for open die forgings to enhance productivity and optimize costs. Furthermore, a solid grasp of different heat treatment processes, material grades, and their respective process parameters for forging and heat treatment is essential. Familiarity with various ASME/ASTM, DIN, EN, and other national and international standards and codes related to materials and testing is also required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering drawing tools, along with a basic understanding of steelmaking, heat treatment, material testing, NDE techniques, and machining, is crucial for this role. You will be responsible for reviewing technical specifications and part drawings, as well as creating documents for customer approval and manufacturing shops. Experience with 3D modeling, simulation of forging and casting processes, and exposure to ISO and other quality systems will be advantageous in fulfilling the duties of this position. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are key attributes that we are looking for in a candidate for this role.,
