Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mess Management Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the mess facility at our Punjab branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food service, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, managing mess staff, and ensuring cost-effective operations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage the overall operations of the mess, ensuring smooth and efficient food service. Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety protocols are strictly followed in the kitchen and dining areas. Monitor food preparation, quality, and portion control to maintain high standards. Plan and oversee the daily menu in coordination with the chef and management. Manage inventory, stock control, and procurement of raw materials while minimizing wastage. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies. Handle customer complaints and feedback to improve service quality. Train and supervise mess staff, ensuring discipline and efficiency in operations. Maintain records of expenses, supplies, and food consumption for cost control. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery of quality raw materials. Ensure a healthy and nutritious meal plan is followed as per company guidelines. Requirements: Minimum 1.5 years of experience in mess/canteen management or food service operations. Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and regulatory compliance. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to handle budgeting, procurement, and cost control effectively. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of inventory management and record-keeping. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Preferred Qualifications: Diploma or certification in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Services, or a related field. Prior experience in a corporate, institutional, or military mess setup.
