Designation: Senior Merchandiser National Role Location: Chennai (National Travel Required) Budget: 1,25,000/- per month Job Description: As a Senior Merchandiser in VAS INDIA CONSULTING, you will be responsible for leading the national buying strategy by driving seasonal buys across locations, curating top Indian designers, and establishing exclusive partnerships. Your role will involve scouting, evaluating, and negotiating with both leading and emerging Indian designers. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing a fashion-forward yet commercially viable national assortment plan and managing inventory and planning by overseeing OTB, monitoring sell-through, and optimizing stock performance across various locations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Finance & Operations is essential to ensure the creation of a seamless luxury experience. Furthermore, staying updated on fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market developments to drive industry insight is a key aspect of this role. Skill & Experience Requirements: - 7-12 years of experience in fashion buying, merchandising, or curation, preferably in the luxury or premium sector. - Strong understanding of Indian designer fashion and clientele. - Exceptional negotiation, planning, and analytical skills. - Experience in managing national or multi-location retail merchandising. - Bachelors/Masters degree in Fashion Management, Business, or related fields.
