MEP Designer (Electrical) Location - Kolkata (Lake Town) Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer (Electrical) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This role will require occasional site visits to oversee installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure project alignment. Key Responsibilities: Electrical Design: Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts using CAD software. Prepare single-line diagrams, load calculations, and panel schedules. Select electrical equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Load calculation Soft drawing and tender drawing Sizing of cables Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, civil, and project management. Provide technical support and resolve design-related queries during construction. Ensure designs meet industry standards, local codes, and safety regulations. Site Support: Conduct occasional site visits for inspections, installation supervision, and commissioning support. Ensure proper documentation and reporting during site visits. Compliance and Documentation: Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and as-built drawings. Maintain records of design changes and site observations. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 3+ years of experience in electrical design engineering. Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or similar). Solid understanding of electrical codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, or equivalent). Experience in power distribution, lighting, and control systems design. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the construction, industrial, or energy sectors. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
