Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join our primary school team and deliver engaging and effective math lessons for students in Grades 1 to 5. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of foundational mathematics, child-centered teaching strategies, and a commitment to nurturing a love for numbers among young learners. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver structured math lessons in accordance with the schools curriculum and learning objectives. Design age-appropriate activities and learning materials to make math enjoyable and relatable for primary students. Use a variety of teaching methods, including hands-on activities, storytelling, games, and visual aids to enhance understanding. Assess and monitor students" progress through classwork, homework, projects, and regular assessments. Provide individualized support and remedial instruction to students who need additional help. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence in mathematical thinking. Collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate cross-curricular connections. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Participate in school events, teacher training, and parent-teacher meetings. Ensure classroom management and discipline aligned with school policies. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mathematics / Education / Elementary Education or a related field (B.Ed. preferred). Prior teaching experience with primary school students is highly desirable. Strong understanding of early mathematical concepts and developmentally appropriate teaching methods. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children. Ability to use educational technology and interactive tools for teaching.
