Job Description
Alvarez & Marsal's Business Transformation Services (BTS) team collaborates with healthy and distressed middle market PE firms, as well as mid to large cap companies aiming for growth and facing profitability/efficiency challenges. As a partner, the BTS team assists in developing and implementing restructuring plans, offering services such as liquidity assessment, business plan evaluation, creditworthiness assessment, and stakeholder negotiation. The primary goal is to facilitate positive change, risk management, and value realization for clients. The BTS team comprises skilled advisors with diverse backgrounds in strategy, operations, finance, IT, and legal, providing services including due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, liquidity management, business plan development, revenue enhancement solutions, and digital transformation across various sectors such as Transportation & Logistics, Consumer Packaged Goods, Healthcare, and more. Responsibilities include conducting thorough research, analyzing data, identifying key insights, breaking down complex problems, understanding client businesses, managing projects efficiently, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work. Client interaction involves setting clear expectations, managing client needs, earning trust through ethical work practices, and delivering superior quality service. Effective communication skills, including articulating ideas confidently, engaging audiences, preparing compelling presentations, and distilling complex ideas into easily understandable narratives, are essential. Basic qualifications include an MBA or equivalent master's degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics from reputable institutes such as IIM, ISB, IIT, or NIT, or a CA qualification. Preferred qualifications include consulting or industry experience in strategy, operations, business planning, finance, or related fields, as well as experience in turnaround or distress situations advisory and operational restructuring.
