Job Description
As a New Business Development / Growth Head for our client, a 150-year-old business conglomerate, you will be an integral part of the centralized team based in Chennai. Your primary responsibilities will include managing Special Projects, leading IPO initiatives, Private Equity activities, Structured Debt/Equity raise, forming Strategic partnerships/Joint Ventures, overseeing end-to-end transaction management, conducting financial modelling, and dealing with various aspects of deal structuring such as commercial, tax, regulatory, and legal considerations. You will work closely with investment bankers, tax/legal advisors, and other stakeholders in preparing term sheets, reviewing transaction documents, negotiating terms, and ultimately closing deals. To excel in this role, you should possess strong project management skills, exhibit logical and analytical thinking, demonstrate keen commercial acumen, have a well-honed risk assessment capability, and showcase superior negotiation and people management skills. The ideal candidate for this position should hold an MBA from a Premier Institution and possess comprehensive deal experience in areas such as Mergers & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, Fundraising (debt/equity), and Strategic alliances. You should have a background of 3-5 years in relevant roles within the fields of investment banking, venture capital/private equity, family office, or corporate strategy. Preference will be given to candidates who are locally based or native to Chennai/Tamil Nadu.,
