Job Description
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Manager Statutory Audit who can lead and manage statutory audits in compliance with Indian GAAP (IGAAP) and applicable regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and mentor a team of 5-6 junior team members while ensuring timely and high-quality audit execution. Key Responsibilities: 1. Audit Planning & Execution: Plan, execute, and finalize statutory audits of private limited companies as per Indian Auditing Standards (SA) and IGAAP. Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, Income Tax Act, GST Act, and other relevant laws. Prepare and review financial statements, audit reports, and working papers with adequate documentation. Identify key risks and ensure risk-based audit procedures are followed. 2. Team Management & Training: Lead, mentor and manage a team of 5-6 junior auditors, ensuring their professional growth. Allocate tasks, review work, and provide technical guidance to the team. Conduct internal training and workshops for knowledge enhancement. 3. Client Handling & Communication: Act as the key point of contact for client interactions and manage client relationships. Coordinate with client teams for audit requirements, financial data, and compliance matters. Provide recommendations on improving financial reporting and internal controls. 4. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure audit documentation is maintained as per SA 230 (Audit Documentation) and firm policies. Ensure compliance with relevant Acts, regulations, and ICAI guidelines. Assist in statutory filings, tax audit reports, and regulatory submissions. Key Requirements: Qualification Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) Experience 4-7 years in statutory audit, preferably in a CA firm Technical Skills Strong knowledge of IGAAP, Ind AS, SA, and regulatory requirements Team Management Experience in handling a team of 5-6 junior auditors Communication Skills Strong verbal & written communication to interact with clients Analytical Skills Ability to analyze financial data, risk assessment, and control evaluation Tech Proficiency Proficient in audit software, MS Excel, and accounting tools Preferred Qualities: Self-motivated, deadline-oriented, and detail-focused.
