Job Description
As a Software Developer at Standard Chartered in Chennai, India, you will be responsible for building and delivering software using standard frameworks and design patterns. You will play a key role in developing scalable real-time low-latency processing solutions in an agile delivery method. It is essential that you have a very good understanding of the Scrum framework, including the roles, artefacts, and ceremonies, with a specific focus on the Scrum Team member role and the underlying values of Scrum and Agile principles. You will be expected to contribute towards creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture and manage work on tools/modules deliverables from concept to completion within project timelines. Additionally, you will be involved in developing secure software components that can be reused for building multi-grained services. Your key stakeholders will include Product Owners, Domain Architects, Development Teams, Testing Teams, Infra Teams, SRE Teams, and Vendor Product Teams. To excel in this role, you should have advanced skills in Java/J2EE, Spring or Equivalent Framework, PostgreSQL or Oracle databases, DevOps, Unix, Testing Tools, and cloud computing. Effective communication skills are crucial, along with experience as a full stack developer with hands-on expertise in Java/J2EE Technology and UI using ReactJS/LIT framework. Your qualifications should include a strong technical background in reviewing, verifying, and validating software code, troubleshooting techniques, and fixing code bugs. Moreover, you should be adept at implementing various development, testing, and automation tools, managing stakeholders and external interfaces, as well as defining and setting up development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations.
