Dangote Cement is currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Maintenance (Mechanical). As the Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance activities related to the mechanical aspects of our production facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the mechanical maintenance team, ensuring effective and efficient operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to identify and address mechanical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance staff, ensuring continuous development of skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to ensure the application of best practices in maintenance activities.
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in maintenance management within the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Solid understanding of preventive maintenance methodologies.
