As the Legal Counsel for BookMyShow's live events business, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of legal aspects associated with technology, digital products, digital content, integrated marketing, and programming across our platforms. Your role will involve regular communication with various business units to identify and address legal issues effectively. You will provide expert legal advice on contract, technology, corporate, advertising, intellectual property, corporate, M&A, and privacy-related matters. It will be crucial for you to analyze and interpret legal contracts, offering sound advice on potential risks and issues. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal business and support departments to tackle legal challenges within the live events business. In this position, you will support the Legal and Business teams by contributing to compliance efforts, process enhancement initiatives, template development, and leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiencies. To qualify for this role, you should hold an LLB/LLM from a reputable Law School, with a CS degree considered an advantage. You must have 9-11 years of prior legal experience in a top-tier law firm or e-commerce/event management company, functioning as a lawyer in an independent contributor capacity. Your expertise in drafting, negotiation, risk assessment, and prioritization will be crucial for success in this role. You will be expected to work autonomously, quickly grasp new skill sets and areas of practice, and exercise excellent business and legal judgment. Superior written and oral communication skills will be essential, along with the ability to adapt communication styles for diverse audiences. Strong organizational abilities are a must, enabling you to manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver them promptly.
