Job Description

As a Data Architect at Bain Capability Network (BCN), you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions and architectures to support business objectives and analytics initiatives. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of data across systems. Your responsibilities will include: Data Architecture Design: - Designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure data architectures that align with business requirements. - Developing and maintaining data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) to support business needs. Data Management & Governance: - Ensuring data integrity, quality, and security across systems. - Defining and enforcing best practices for data governance, data integration, and data lifecycle management. Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: - Partnering with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into architectural solutions. - Collaborating with data scientists and engineers to optimize data pipelines and workflows. System Performance & Optimization: - Monitoring and enhancing the performance of data systems for efficiency and scalability. - Identifying and proactively addressing data-related issues and bottlenecks. Documentation & Standards: - Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for data architectures, standards, and procedures. - Staying updated with emerging trends and technologies in data management and architecture. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - Proven experience with database systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and knowledge of Snowflake and Oracle. - Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud. - Experience with version control systems, ETL/ELT tools, and big data technologies. - Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, and communication skills. Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Pyspark, or R. - Knowledge of NoSQL databases and data security best practices. - Consulting knowledge/background for effective collaboration with stakeholders. - Familiarity with implementing login using OAuth providers like Google, Azure AD, or Okta.
