Job Description

a. Electrical Equipment related :

* To use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools and testing equipment including ammeters and test lamps.

* To install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors, washing machines and vacuum cleaner

* To repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.

* To maintain Diesel Generator and UPS.

* Trouble shooting lifts maintenance issues.

* To work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.

* To place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls or other concealed areas and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.

* To construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications.

* To fasten small plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or outlets.

b. Safety Measures :

* To install, maintain and ensure all fire safety measures and equipment.

* To ensure that all electrical equipments are installed by taking necessary precautions.

c. Other Responsibilities :

* To maintain records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment by coordinating with the Facilities Manager.

* To perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.

* To provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.

* To provide assistance during emergencies by operating generators and driving needed vehicles.

* To monitor and maintain the display lights of the hospital.

* To Maintain diesel stock at least 1/2 tank at any point of time.

* Update of daily checklist of diesel generator and HT Switch Gear panel.
