Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician in the Metal Stamping Industry located in Ambernath, you will be responsible for the maintenance of metal moulds, press machines (both mechanical and hydraulic), surface grinding machines, and other plant equipment. Your primary duties will include performing preventive and breakdown maintenance, conducting daily inspections to identify potential issues, and ensuring high tooling precision through mould assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and repairs. You will be expected to monitor machine performance, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and minor electrical issues, and maintain accurate maintenance logs to report recurring equipment failures. Collaboration with the production team to schedule timely machine servicing without disrupting operations is crucial. Adherence to safety protocols and plant maintenance SOPs is essential, along with assisting in the installation and commissioning of new machines and tools. To excel in this role, you should possess a Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Fitter, or Tool & Die discipline with at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in maintaining metal stamping machinery and tooling. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, understanding mechanical tolerances, and basic electrical troubleshooting is required. Additionally, having the ability to work independently, a problem-solving attitude, and basic computer skills for maintenance reporting are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in precision fabrication industries and exposure to TPM or predictive maintenance systems.
