Job Description

Mainteanace Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the maintenance team.
  2. Maintenance Operations:
    • Oversee maintenance routines for 3, 4, and 5-axis VMC machines, HMC Machines and CNC turning centers, focusing on medium and large-sized equipment.
    • Experience of handling medium and large size utility. (i.e. Power station, DG, ETP, STP etc.) 
    • Implement and manage robust preventive maintenance strategies to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize operational readiness.
    • Perform hands-on electrical, CNC control system and mechanical maintenance tasks as needed to ensure quick and efficient resolutions to equipment failures.  
  3. Infrastructure Management:
    • Coordinate infrastructure upkeep, addressing facility needs that support safe and efficient production environments. 
    • Having brown field expansion experience will be preferred. 
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all maintenance activities
  4. Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive improvement initiatives that optimize equipment life cycle, reduce costs, and support long-term operational performance.
    • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to align maintenance plans with manufacturing goals and technical requirements
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, OEE, MTTR & MTBF and downtime incidents.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance performance and improvement initiatives to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Electronics / Electrical Engineering with min 15 years of experience in automotive / aerospace precision machining industry.
  • Proven experience managing CNC machinery, particularly medium to large-sized equipment used in precision manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership and critical thinking skills with a proactive, hands-on approach to solving mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Expertise in preventive maintenance, ensuring optimal machine performance, reduced downtime, and long-term asset reliability.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the aerospace industry or a similar high-precision manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific safety standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools.
