Role Summary:

Fitter Maintenance Technician :

A) Diploma -Mechanical with 5 years of experience.

OR

B) ITI/NCTVT with 10 years of experience in the Maintenance of a process industry, such as Chemical, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Polymer, Refinery, and Oil and Gas.

Experience :

1. Should be capable of making alignments for pumps with motors, gearboxes with compressors/generators, using the reverse indication/3-dial method for pumps. Knowledge of laser alignment will be considered an added qualification.
2. Should be capable enough to overhauls a Centrifugal Pump, change its bearings and mechanical seals, plunger type/ dosing/ metering, gearboxes & compressors
3. Should be able to read and understand sectional drawings and identify the parts required to service/ overhaul the equipment
4. Quite familiar with working on coolers, condensers, different types of heat exchangers, distillation columns , absorption towers, and reactors
5. Should know and be able to overhaul different types of valves, like valves
6. Have worked on cooling towers, oil changes, filters, and strainers
7. Should know various types of couplings and their installation.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• ITI - Fitter /Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 3 - 7 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a chemical or process industry.
• Proven experience in maintaining utility equipment such as: Compressors, Boilers, Cooling Towers, HVAC systems, WTP/ETP units.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and safety practices.
• Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance calls.
