Job Description

The Maintenance Engineer Trainee will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager and experienced engineers to learn the principles and practices of plant machinery, equipment maintenance, and industrial safety. This role is designed for fresh engineering graduates or diploma holders to gain hands-on experience in preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance within an industrial environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and utility systems. Support preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution. Learn to diagnose equipment malfunctions and help in troubleshooting and rectifying technical issues. Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, spares inventory, and equipment performance logs. Work with the team to implement and monitor safety practices and standards. Participate in installation and commissioning of new machinery or equipment. Collaborate with the production and quality departments to minimize downtime and optimize equipment efficiency. Attend technical training sessions and workshops to build knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. Report daily activities and issues to the Maintenance Engineer / Supervisor.
