Job Description: Desktop Engineer (Apple Mac) Location: Pune Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Engineer with a strong proficiency in Apple MacBooks to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of macOS, hardware troubleshooting, and software installation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively interacting with end-users and providing technical support. Responsibilities: Hardware Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues with Apple MacBooks, including but not limited to: Power supply problems Peripherals (e.g., keyboards, mice, monitors) Internal components (e.g., hard drives, RAM) Software Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot macOS and various applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite) Provide technical assistance to users regarding software usage and troubleshooting Manage software updates and patches Network Administration: Connect and configure Apple MacBooks to the network Troubleshoot network connectivity issues Assist in maintaining network security User Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users Respond to user inquiries and requests in a professional and courteous manner Document and track support incidents Asset Management: Maintain an inventory of Apple MacBooks and related equipment Track device lifecycle and disposal Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and software licensing Negotiate pricing and terms for IT services Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Desktop Engineer or similar role Strong proficiency in Apple macOS and related technologies Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair Knowledge of network administration and security Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Problem-solving and analytical skills Attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or Apple Certified Technician (ACT) Experience with macOS Server and Active Directory Scripting skills (e.g., AppleScript, Python) Job Type: Full-time Education: Diploma (Preferred) Experience: IT: 1 year (Preferred) total work: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person,
