Role Definition As a member of the Supply Chain and Logistics team, your primary role will involve implementing and continually improving logistics processes to enhance efficiency and productivity within the organization. Responsibilities - Applying process improvement tools to assist in the implementation of efficient logistics solutions. - Collaborating with operations functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements. - Maintaining internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools to ensure their effective implementation in current and new operations. - Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to address process-related concerns. Degree Requirement A degree or equivalent experience is desired for this role. Skill Descriptors 1. Planning: Tactical, Strategic - Contribute to short-term operational plans and anticipate plan changes. - Develop tactical plans under guidance and monitor progress against objectives. 2. Collaborating - Demonstrate experience in productive collaborative processes. - Assist in communicating shared goals with diverse groups and promote collaboration across functions and levels. 3. Decision Making and Critical Thinking - Apply critical thinking techniques in decision-making processes. - Identify and organize relevant data, clarify concerns, and assess risks and benefits. 4. Lean Manufacturing - Understand the philosophy, principles, and implementation of lean manufacturing. - Identify benefits and risks associated with lean principles and describe basic tools for waste identification. 5. Logistics Management - Develop process flows and forecast delivery times with guidance. - Maintain records of shipments and invoices, and integrate logistics processes for effective networks. 6. Materials Handling and Management - Respond to emergency issues related to materials handling. - Perform packing, shipping, and transportation of materials, including hazardous goods. 7. Problem Management Process - MFG - Use a disciplined approach to problem-solving and resolution. - Record problems and resolutions, monitor resolution progress, and implement procedures for handling non-standard issues. 8. Warehouse Management - Maintain warehouse equipment and facilities. - Perform warehousing activities and analyze key performance indicators. - Assist in implementing mechanization approaches in a distribution center.
