About LeapSwitch Networks
Job Description
As a member of the Linux Monitoring and Backup Team at Leapswitch Networks in Mumbai, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain the Zabbix monitoring infrastructure. This includes handling triggers, items, templates, hosts, and escalation workflows efficiently. You will proactively monitor Linux and Windows servers, virtual machines, and hosting environments using Zabbix to ensure optimal performance. Your role will also involve the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Bash scripts for automation, alert parsing, and performance reporting. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing Acronis Cyber Protect backup solutions, including job creation, restoration, and issue resolution. Regular backup status reviews, job monitoring, restore verification, and incident tracking will be part of your daily tasks. Collaboration with L1 and other technical teams to address and resolve monitoring and backup-related escalations is essential. You will be expected to document standard operating procedures (SOPs), known error databases (KEDBs), and backup policies. Supporting alert tuning, false-positive reduction, and actionable monitoring improvement initiatives will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have at least 2+ years of experience in Zabbix monitoring, with a strong understanding of managing enterprise Zabbix environments. Additionally, you should possess 1+ year of experience in Bash scripting for system monitoring and automation. A minimum of 2 years of experience in operational server monitoring, preferably in hosting environments, is required. Familiarity with Acronis backup products and knowledge of system health metrics, log analysis, and troubleshooting tools are also necessary. Understanding firewall rules, agent connectivity, and whitelisting processes for cloud-based monitoring/backup tools is a plus. In addition to technical skills, soft skills such as strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities, clear and concise communication skills, the ability to work under minimal supervision, and handle pressure situations effectively are important. You should be willing to work in rotational shifts and support after-hours incidents as needed. If you are looking for a challenging role where you can utilize your technical expertise and contribute to the efficient monitoring and backup operations of the organization, this position in Wadala, Mumbai, with a minimum experience requirement of 2+ years, could be the right fit for you.,
