Job Summary

Would you like to apply your skills in an innovative production facility? If so, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Line Operator! This position will be based out of our Extrusion plant located in Walla Walla, Washington. In this role, you will operate extrusion machines and related equipment for the purposes of fittings production. These activities will be conducted while ensuring and advancing safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping, and cost control to achieve our plant goals.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve production operations for designated manufacturing lines to ensure timely manufacturing of products and in accordance with our quality benchmarks
  • Follow established procedures for operating conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment
  • Conduct inspection activities, including using a PI table, micrometer and ovality gauges.
  • Model efficiency in performing the inspection and quality process, including skin testing and impact testing.
  • Identify and investigate any product non-conformances while ensuring accurate documentation within our quality requirements.
  • Adjust the extrusion process including wall thickness, barrel and die temperatures, and diameter adjustments as needed
  • Select and measure raw materials to specifications for production use and planning
  • Provide manufacturing support by conducting line maintenance and other preventative tasks
  • Identify and resolve issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and packaging operations
  • Ensure a safe work environment through training and adherence to policies and procedures.

Requirements

·         Minimum 18 years of age plus completion of high school education or equivalent.

·         Must have the ability to use basic hand tools and operate a forklift.

Successful candidate must complete a background check and drug screening.

Working conditions

·         Requires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, reaching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting to 50-75 lbs.

·         Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required.

·         Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise levels and the use of sharp instrumentation

Pay:

  • $21.50/hour
  • Rotating 12 hour shifts 7pm-7am
