Light Maintenance/Cleaning/Parking Sovereign Services

The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a maintenance worker for employment. Preferred candidates will have experience in maintenance service, parking operations, and housekeeping.

Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, be reliable, and have a self-motivated demeanor. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure garage & surface lots are maintained and cleaned as needed.
• Responsible for general maintenance of the garage & lots, wiping down equipment, and emptying trash.
• Work is both performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions.
• Provide information and directions to customers in garage and around facility.
• Light maintenance and cleaning, along with assisting during parking operations.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
• Must be able to work unsupervised
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
• Must be able to make decisions independently
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.
• Experience with general facility maintenance preferred.

Requirements

• Requires a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
