Job Description

As an Associate in the Banking & Finance team, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to banks, financial institutions, corporates, and borrowers on a wide range of financing transactions. With 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, you will be a key member of our team based in Mumbai. Your primary responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various financing documents such as Loan Agreements, Security Documents, Inter-Creditor Agreements, Deeds of Hypothecation and Guarantees, and Facility Agreements. You will also be involved in advising on legal and regulatory aspects of financing transactions, ensuring compliance with RBI, SEBI, and other financial sector regulations. Additionally, you will conduct legal due diligence on companies and their assets for secured lending and structured finance transactions. You will assist in structuring transactions for project finance, acquisition finance, real estate finance, and corporate loans. Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders like clients, banks, NBFCs, rating agencies, and regulatory bodies will be a key part of your role. Moreover, you will provide guidance on enforcement of security and recovery actions under laws such as SARFAESI Act, IBC, and relevant civil remedies. It will be essential for you to stay updated on legal and regulatory developments in banking, finance, and insolvency laws to ensure the best possible advice for our clients.
