Job Description

As a Lead UX Designer at MakeMyTrip, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user journeys of millions of travelers across our platforms. Your responsibilities will include leading UX design for key products and journeys, applying design thinking to solve complex travel problems, guiding junior designers through mentorship, collaborating closely with product, tech, and analytics teams, and bringing innovation with emerging technologies such as Gen AI and motion design. You will ensure visual and functional excellence by using our design system, Cosmos, as your compass. To excel in this role, you should have at least 7 years of hands-on UX/Product Design experience, strong proficiency in tools like Figma and motion tools (Lottie, After Effects), and a proven ability to lead projects and end-to-end journeys. You should also possess excellent presentation skills, a mentorship mindset, and a curiosity for new technologies that push UX forward. A portfolio showcasing strategic thinking and high-quality execution will be essential. Success in this role will be measured based on your design craft and quality, stakeholder collaboration, planning and ownership of design sprints, and mentoring of junior team members.
