As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank's Equities Tech Team, you play a crucial role in an agile environment focused on enhancing, building, and delivering cutting-edge technology products. Your contributions are essential to the firm's business objectives, ensuring secure, stable, and scalable solutions across various technical areas. Your responsibilities include: - Leading and participating in the development of server-side applications utilizing Java and Spring. - Crafting scalable architectures to optimize performance efficiency. - Implementing messaging frameworks, with a preference for Kafka. - Executing automated testing strategies, including end-to-end testing. - Collaborating effectively within an agile team and engaging with key stakeholders. - Providing DevOps production support to maintain application stability and address business queries. - Mentoring junior developers and facilitating design and code review sessions. - Fostering a team culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills: - Formal training or certification in software engineering with at least 5 years of applied experience. - Proficiency in Java and Spring server-side development. - Experience with NoSql databases like Cassandra. - Expertise in designing scalable architectures and developing performance-efficient applications. - Familiarity with messaging frameworks, especially ActiveMQ and Tibco. - Proficiency in automated testing, including end-to-end processes. - Strong teamwork and communication skills. - Ability to offer DevOps support and mentor junior team members. - Capability to lead design and code review sessions. - Deep understanding of the financial services industry and its IT systems. - Practical experience with cloud-native technologies.
