Job Description
You should have 7+ years of experience in network engineering and support roles and at least 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management position. Your expertise should include extensive experience with SDWAN technologies, strong proficiency in routing and switching protocols, in-depth understanding of network security concepts and best practices, proven experience with load balancers and firewall configurations, hands-on expertise in network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, and practical knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls. As a Network Engineer, your responsibilities will include providing Level 3 support for complex network issues and outages, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions, mentoring and supporting Level 1 and Level 2 network support staff, overseeing the daily Managed Services operations of various network components, having technical experience in Data Center and Enterprise Routing and Switching, possessing in-depth knowledge of implementing and supporting multi-vendor complex Routing and Switching infrastructure, troubleshooting large enterprise networks, explaining technical concepts to clients, collaborating with the in-house network automation team, developing build of materials lists, obtaining quotes, and producing technology refresh plans, working independently as a self-starter, supporting network security devices and encryption devices, working with Network Management and Analysis tools, working with cloud networking, installing structured cabling, providing technical input on the networking needs of software and hardware used in the customers" environment, and having experience with Data Center, VOIP, network, and security engineering and design. Experience with network and security automation tools such as Ansible, Python, JavaScript, Terraform, etc. is preferred. Experience with network vendor APIs and SDWAN vendors like Cisco, VMware Velocloud, Palo Alto, or other SDWAN vendors is a plus. Experience with SASE vendors like Cisco, VMware, Palo Alto, Azure, AWS, or GCP is also beneficial. SD-WAN or SASE-related experience is required, along with enterprise traditional network support, Naas, programming, automation, and SD-WAN type work. You will be at the forefront of service build-out, exposed to the latest technologies while still performing traditional network engineer tasks. Additionally, you should have experience in team leadership and development, including leading and managing a team of network engineers and support staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for team members, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. Project management skills are essential, including planning, coordinating, and executing network projects, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and communicating project status and updates to stakeholders. Documentation and reporting are also part of the job responsibilities.,
