Job Description
Core responsibilities Design execution of a designated Paper Machine (PM) section for a new or rebuild PM project. Technical co-ordination and support to carry out machine layout, BoMs, drawings and manuals. Technical co-ordination with customers during projects; technical clarification/troubleshooting for operating machine, as and when required. Technical co-ordination with Voith Paper global locations, integration of key components from various sources. Calculation and selection of various internal/external purchased parts (standard/customized); prepare/check order drawing for customized purchased parts; supplier document evaluation and approval. Prepare/check drawings of manufactured parts and assemblies. Prepare/check Bill of Material as a combination of manufactured parts, purchased parts and standard parts. Ensure first time right design; maintain project time line; achieve saving on estimated project design hours. Lead product optimization / development with local fit solutions. Manage technical clarification to suppliers, manufacturing shops, assembly shops, internal departments, on-site colleagues. Professional Experience & Education Bachelor in Mechanical engineering with 6 to 10 years relevant experience in manufacturing machines design. Experience in Design of Pulp & Paper Industrial machine will be preferred Hands-on experience of machine design in heavy manufacturing industry. Clear concept on Mechanical Drawings and associated Manufacturing & Assembly Process. Sound knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing process. Good communication/interpersonal skill. Proficiency in Software required 2D and 3D CAD tools e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor/Equiv. MS Office tools. Basic idea of Finite Element Analysis. Complexity associated with the role Working with different departments and locations Frequent travel to customers and suppliers site Key internal and external interfaces Sales, Application, Project manager, Mechanic engineering, Automation engineering, Commissioning, Global teams, Sub-suppliers and Customers.,
