Job Description
The Lead DevOps Engineer plays a crucial role in the design, provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance of Neustar commercial services at an advanced level. To excel in this position, you must possess extensive experience in systems engineering and cloud automation, along with strong critical thinking skills. Your proficiency in advanced scripting and coding is essential to automate complex tasks effectively. Besides, being highly organized with excellent communication skills is key, coupled with a mindset for continuous improvement. Leadership in On-Call rotation is also a requirement for this role. Your responsibilities include leading the design, creation, configuration, and delivery of cloud infrastructure environments using automation best practices. You will oversee the automation of infrastructure builds in cloud environments and provide expert technology assessments to support automation and migration to the cloud. Additionally, you will lead the automation of operational processes, drive improvements, and ensure platforms perform at maximum efficiency and security. Addressing compliance, legal, infosec, and privacy concerns in deployed product components is crucial. Automating the full SDLC lifecycle process for application and infrastructure as code workloads, as well as leading the automation of business continuity/disaster recovery processes, are vital aspects of this role. You will also be responsible for participating in and leading rotational 24x7 on-call duties and conducting root cause analysis for service performance incidents. In this role, you will need a deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and extensive experience with infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Kubernetes YAML, Helm, or Terraform. Proficiency in advanced monitoring and debugging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Kubectl is required. An in-depth understanding of core Kubernetes concepts and extensive cloud experience, preferably in AWS or GCP, is essential. Advanced working experience in Linux and Windows environments is preferred. This hybrid position entails performing job responsibilities both virtually and in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week. As the Lead Engineer, Development Ops, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by leveraging your expertise in DevOps, cloud automation, and infrastructure management to ensure the optimal performance and security of Neustar commercial services.,
