Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lead Buyer to manage the procurement of mechanical rotary packages for our EPC power projects. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of mechanical rotary equipment, strong negotiation skills, and a track record in procurement within the energy sector. This role will involve collaboration with engineering, project management, and supply chain teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing. Key Responsibilities Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and engage suppliers for mechanical rotary equipment, ensuring competitive pricing and optimal terms. Technical Collaboration: Understand technical specifications for mechanical rotary packages like pumps, turbine etc, its supplier base and estimate its cost. Cost Optimization: Conduct detailed cost analysis and assessments to achieve cost-effective procurement while maintaining high quality and performance standards. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring all terms protect the project's interests and mitigate risks. Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of market trends, new technologies, and industry developments to inform procurement decisions. Cross-Functional Engagement: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the timely delivery and integration of rotary packages into project schedules. Supplier Performance Monitoring: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance and adherence to contract specifications. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Diploma engineer with 10 - 12 experience can also be considered. Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts effectively and manage complex supplier relationships. Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on cost reduction and value maximization. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Software Proficiency: Proficient in procurement through ERP / SAP / SAP HANA systems, and MS Office applications.,
