Job Description

As an Engineering Lead Backend at Blox.xyz, one of Uplers" Clients, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of talented backend engineers to drive high-impact projects and ensure product scalability. Your passion for solving complex problems and building robust backend systems will be essential in contributing to real business outcomes. In this role, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding a team of backend engineers, overseeing the design and development of backend systems and RESTful APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features. Your expertise in Java or PHP stack, along with proven experience in system scalability and RESTful API design, will be crucial in making architectural decisions that enhance performance, reliability, and security. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, providing technical guidance and career development opportunities. - Drive the design, development, and delivery of robust backend systems and RESTful APIs. - Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to ensure the successful delivery of features. - Make architectural decisions to enhance scalability, performance, and reliability of systems. - Enforce best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and deployment processes. - Promote the adoption of modern engineering principles, tools, and practices. - Troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause analysis to improve system stability. Tech Stack: - Languages: Java or PHP (Laravel or Spring Boot) - Databases: MySQL, MS SQL Server, Redis - Cloud: AWS - DevOps: Docker, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) - Others: REST APIs, Microservices architecture, Git Requirements: - 7+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. - Proficiency in Java or PHP stack (Laravel/Spring Boot). - Experience in designing scalable systems and RESTful APIs. - Strong understanding of data modeling, caching, performance tuning, and security. - Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. - Ability to balance technical depth with business needs and timelines. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
