As a Third-Party Relationship Manager (TRM) or Tactical Contact within the CEG Strategic Vendor Management (SVM) team at American Express, your primary role will be to oversee vendor governance activities. This fast-paced position involves ensuring that all vendor third-party governance and compliance requirements are accurately met for approximately 400 vendors globally. You will work closely with Third Parties to complete assessments, monitor performance, and maintain relationships throughout governance activities. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing Third Party Lifecycle Management (TLM) and Alternate Practice (AP) pre-contract and post-contract activities - Overseeing Third Party Security Management (TSM) pre and post reviews - Remedying TLM and TSM gaps and supporting internal and external audits - Maintaining key supplier data inventory and building strong relationships with key partners - Providing best practices, promoting consistency, and leading process improvement initiatives - Collaborating with regional teams and Centers of Excellence on priorities and planning - Driving analytical insights, reporting, and creating high-quality documentation To excel in this role, you should possess: - Detail orientation with high accuracy and productivity - Self-starting mentality with personal accountability and ability to work independently - Flexibility, creativity, and strong relationship management skills - Prior experience in Vendor governance, Third-Party Risk Management, or Compliance - Technical knowledge of Third-Party compliance requirements - Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities, work in a matrixed organization, and collaborate effectively Preferred qualifications include proficiency in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
