We are looking for a skilled Laytime / Demurrage Analyst to review, negotiate and settle demurrage claims for port calls and to ensure claims are filed, settled in line with company policies. Key Responsibilities Review and settle claims: Analyze charter parties and commercial agreements to identify, negotiate, and settle claims. Coordinate with stakeholders: Work with the operation team, trade team, port agents, vessel owners, and others to mitigate delays and reduce costs. Calculate laytime: Use data from contracts, charter parties, and other documents to calculate laytime. Create reports: Maintain reports with details such as the time sheet, amount claimed, and date of finalization. Negotiate with counterparties: Negotiate with head owners, charterers, and brokers to close laytime files on time. Review contract language: Review and optimize contract language related to laytime and demurrage. Identify root causes: Capture and report the root causes of demurrage to help improve operational areas. Skills & Experience: Min 3 years experience of handling demurrage claims / laytime calculations in bulk / tanker segment Should have good understanding of contracts, charter parties, laytime terminology and should be able to work with high transaction volume Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Good Collaboration skills ability to work in a team Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
