Job Description
Lathe Machine Operation: Operate conventional lathe machines for precision machining of metal components. Drawing Interpretation: Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for machining. Job Loading & Setup: Mount, align, and secure workpieces on the lathe for accurate machining. Center Trueing: Ensure workpieces are properly centered and aligned for high-precision turning. Machining Processes: Perform facing, turning, threading, boring, grooving, and other lathe operations as required. Quality Control: Measure and inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy. Tool Selection & Maintenance: Select appropriate cutting tools, maintain tools, and ensure proper lubrication and cooling during operations. Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining tolerances. Hands-on experience with conventional lathe machines. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments. Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machining parameters as needed. Highest Qualification required ITI/Diploma in Turner, Machinist, or Mechanical Engineering. Relevant Experience required 3-7 years of experience in lathe machine operation, preferably in bulk material handling systems or related industries.
