Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Conventional Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating lathe machines to perform machining operations such as cutting, drilling, facing, and turning, while ensuring product quality and machine safety.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Operate and set up conventional lathe machines to produce metal components as per drawings/specifications.

·      Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and job cards.

·      Measure and inspect components using micrometers, vernier calipers, and other measuring instruments.

·      Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and tolerances.

·      Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area.

·      Follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures at all times.

·      Identify and report machine malfunctions or production issues to the supervisor.

·      Maintain daily production logs and inspection reports.

Requirements:

·      ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Fitter / Machinist trade preferred.

·      Hands-on experience operating conventional (manual) lathes.

·      Good knowledge of machining techniques and measuring instruments.

·      Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

·      Physically fit and capable of standing for long hours.

·      Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications:

·      ITI/Diploma in Mechanical.

·      Prior experience in a toolroom or manufacturing environment.

·      Experience of threading, taper turning, and parting operations.

·      Experience of working with materials like mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
